Miguel Luciano on PBS

This Sunday evening, Miguel Luciano's  work will be featured in a PBS/Thirteen series entitled Art Through Time: A Global View<http://www.learner.org/courses/globalart/>. It's a thirteen-part series that examines works of art created around the world in different eras.  His work is featured in the first episode, entitled Converging Cultures, which looks at historic and contemporary examples of cultural clashes or collaborations that have led to "hybrid styles, innovative new forms, and the reinterpretation of traditional signs and symbols". This episode also features the work of artists Takashi Murakami and Guillermo Gomez Peña.

For those in the NY / NJ area, the program airs this Sunday, October 10th at 11:30pm on Channel 13. (It will also air on October 24th at 2:30pm.)

  1. I was just telling my friend Mark George yesterday about the "hot wheels racetrack" piece Miguel did. Loved that visiting artist speach thing, got a lot out of it. Great Blog!
