ARTBOUND
A special exhibition called ARTBOUND has opened on the first floor of the Proctor Library. ARTBOUND is a collection of handmade artists' books from the Special Collection of the Smathers Library at the University of Florida, and this is the first time the books have been on display outside the University of Florida.
This collection represents an exciting exploration into the book as an aesthetic and expressive object. ARTBOUND was curated by Professor Ellen Knudson, who is the director of the Special Collections at UF and Book Arts instructor. Don Martin, Professor in the Department of Art and Design; Julie Dickover, Director of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum; and Brian Nesselrode, Director of the Proctor Library, have been working on bringing this exhibition to Flagler College for over a year.
Please stop by the Proctor Library to view this exciting collection. The exhibit will be on display through the month of March.
