Russell Maycumber at the Jacksonville Art Walk!

This Wednesday, September 29th, Russell Maycumber will showing at the Nullspace Gallery during the Jacksonville Art Walk. Come on down and see some excellent drawing on post-it notes.

Flagler Professors Featured in MOCA Jax

The work of several Flagler College professors is on display at the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art’s new exhibit called “Imagination Squared.” The exhibit features the work of hundreds of artists in the Northeast Florida on 5-inch-by-2-inch pieces of canvas. The display, which has more than 2,000 pieces, is designed to capture the imagination of Jacksonville.

Flagler’s Leslie Robison, Sara Pedigo, Laura Mongiovi, Patrick Moser, Russell Maycumber, Loren Myhre and Enzo Torcoletti all contributed to the show.

Today, The Drawing Club's Figure Friday!

1-4pm


Every Friday in Studio 4, the Art Department will provide a model for a three-hour open figure session. As often as possible they will hire a nude model, otherwise a clothed student model will pose. The sessions are open to everyone. Bring your own materials and your friends. 

This week we will have a nude model.

Studio Assistants Wanted:

Prof. Michael Ghelerter is looking for Photo Lab assistants.The job involves very little work, only 2 hrs a week of help are required. Assistants will receive one credit hour.

Free Figure Drawing Fridays

Starting tomorrow, September 10th, there will be 2 hour figure session in Studio 4 from 1-3pm every Friday. The figure will be a clothed student model. 
Bring your materials of choice and your friends.

Study Abroad Advanced Drawing in Italy with Assistant Professor Patrick Moser


Summer 2011 there will be an Advanced Drawing class going to Rome, Florence and Assisi.

We will draw from masterworks of Art and Architecture and have a summer show in the museum upon our return.

An organizational meeting will occur on Thursday Sept. 9th 5:00 location TBA for anyone who is curious.

Exciting New Scholarship Generously Donated by Molly Wiley

The Flagler College Department of Art and Design is proud to announce that we are fortunate to have received The William R Kenan  Jr. Endowed Scholarship in Honor of Mary Lily Flagler Wiley.

This generous scholarship allows the department to award significant funds to two seniors each year, one in Graphic Design and one in Fine Arts.
